Birth or death records prior to 1908 may be obtained at the Stark County District Library at 715 Market Avenue N., Canton, Ohio 44702, or at the Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics, PO Box 15098, Columbus, Ohio 43215-0098.

For birth or deaths which occurred inside the city limits of Alliance, Canton, or Massillon, records can be obtained at each respective city health department.
