Stark County Health Department

COMMUNICABLE DISEASE PROGRAM

According to the Ohio Administrative Code all laboratories, physicians, hospitals, and other health professionals are required to report suspected and confirmed cases of certain infectious diseases to the Local Health Department. The Stark County Health Department is dedicated to minimizing the spread of infectious diseases within our community. It monitors and investigates the occurrence of specific diseases on a community-wide basis. By working closely with hospitals and other local Public Health partners, the program is able to promptly respond to the threats posed by infectious diseases.
