Safe Kids Stark County, in conjunction with the Stark County Health Department is proud to release the 2010 Childhood Injury Sub Reports for the Alliance Area and the Minerva Area.  .

These reports breaks down e-code (etiology) data from Affinity Medical Center, Alliance Community Hospital, Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 and provides information on the leading causes of injury.  This report includes patients under age 17, and for the first time, includes data from Immediate Care facilities.  Each report is specific to its own community.

IIn 2008 the Ohio Legislature passed Ohio’s Booster Seat Law, with the Governor signing it into law in January 2009.  This amendment to the Ohio Revised Code will require children ages 4 to 8 or who are less than 4’9 (57 inches) to ride in a federally approved booster seat - for example a 6yr old 4'10" child is exempt as is a 9 yr old 4'2" child.  This secondary law will carry a minimum fine of $25.00.
